Shawna Reynolds

Dr. Shawna Reynolds is a wife, and mother of 2 wonderful little boys. After spending more than 20 years as a Corrections Deputy, she knew she wanted to do more for the women she saw stuck in the revolving doors of the corrections and prison system. God gave her a vision to bring all of her education and experience together for that purpose. Two years ago, she launched About Face Course Correction. The organization allows women to Set A New Life Course with temporary housing, ministry, life skills, and other resources provided by local organizations and volunteers; all under the About Face roof. Shawna has a Bachelor degree from the University of Michigan Dearborn and her Masters and Doctorate degrees from Destiny School of Ministry in Florida. She has worked both full time in the jail setting and currently works part time in community corrections while she launches About Face and cares for her young family. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice at U of M Dearborn.

Dr. Reynolds is the recipient of the "2019 Second Chance Leadership Award" and has been featured on Fox 2 News for her work.
